On time or not on time. Useful things to do before an interview.

  1. A successful interview always starts from a careful scheduling and attending the meeting. Always check one day ahead the best rout to the address. And the second best rout as well, in case in the morning plan A will be effected by an unexpected delay.
  2. If area isn't familiar to you, use Google Earth to find out how the building looks like, this will save you time and avoid stress of looking for the meeting point.
  3. Lateness for the interview kills your chances of getting the job by approximately 90%, so better don't be late.
  4. Equally, if your way took you less time then expected, don't come in into the store 20-30 minutes earlier. It's not polite and can create an awkward situation with your potential employer. 5 minutes earlier is the right time to arrive.
  5. If you have been asked to wait for an interviewer, take this chance to look around a store. This will give you an opportunity to compliment the space in the end of the meeting and to highlight what you liked about your potential work space.
  6. If you had a coffee just before the interview or even if you didn't, it's always a good idea to have a gum or a mint spray before you are coming into the building.
